Upsizing
Greetings,
Watching the 'Ever Given' stuck between the banks of the Suez got me wondering - how much of the responsibility should be borne by us, the consumers?
We constantly consume goods produced cheaply in far away lands and then have them transported to us in humongous ships.
This big appetite for goods can't be healthy. It is similar to having upsized meals.

Thoughts that crossed my mind, while I was watching…
The life of purple rice, pumpkins, and … peanuts by Li Ziqi
Li Ziqi, a Chinese vlogger has achieved great fame displaying her way of simple living from the resources which she has accessible within almost walking distance.
Though I cannot preach her way of living, I do wonder how different the world would be if we lived like her. It would feel like time moves at a totally different pace. There would be no crazy rat race to self-enrol into. We would not have the need for Ultra Large Container Vessels which end up getting stuck in tight waterways.
The simplicity the videos portray have won her international acclaim and her YouTube channel remains a solace for millions stuck in concrete jungles.
Winter has departed and a gorgeous spring is here. The pandemic is the only constant. Hiroyuki shared a picture of the Kiyomizu temple in Kyoto. It is normally a huge tourist attraction. Not this year though.
He says we need more prayers to return to normalcy, but with the pandemic restrictions, there is hardly anyone offering a prayer.
Oh well...at least it makes for a beautiful picture.
